Fuel prices
Fuel prices in the Gulf
Petrol and diesel per litre in the Gulf, side by side in US dollars. The UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar come from the official price; Kuwait and Bahrain, whose official agencies could not be read, from newspaper reports of the government's decision, and say so.
The six countries, per litre in US dollars
Each country's newest prices, in dollars. The grades are the nearest equivalents: the UAE's E-Plus 91 and Special 95, Saudi Arabia's Gasoline 91 and 95, Qatar's and Kuwait's Premium 91 and Super 95, Bahrain's Jayyid 91 and Mumtaz 95.

Questions
- Which Gulf country has the cheapest petrol?
- Of the countries published here, the lowest 91-octane price is in Kuwait: US$0.28 a litre, for 1 July 2026 to 30 September 2026. The months can differ, because each country publishes on its own day.
- Why is Oman not in the table?
- No official announcement of Oman's 2026 fuel prices could be found, so the row says why instead of showing a figure from an unofficial site.
- How are the dollar prices worked out?
- The local price divided by the currency's fixed peg to the US dollar: 3.6725 dirhams, 3.75 Saudi riyals, 3.64 Qatari riyals and 0.376 Bahraini dinars to the dollar. The Kuwaiti dinar has no dollar peg, so its latest recorded official rate is used and shown under the table.
Where the prices come from
The UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar come from their official sources: the UAE Fuel Price Committee's prices as WAM announces them, Aramco's own page, and QatarEnergy's prices as QNA announces them.
Kuwait and Bahrain come from newspaper reports of the government's decision — Arab Times, Times Kuwait, Gulf News and Gulf Daily News — because their official agencies could not be read. Each row says so and links to every report; where reports disagree, both are shown.
The dollar prices are the local price divided by the currency's fixed peg — 3.6725 dirhams, 3.75 Saudi riyals, 3.64 Qatari riyals and 0.376 Bahraini dinars to the dollar — and, for the Kuwaiti dinar, which has no peg to the dollar, by the latest official rate the site records.
Oman is listed without prices because no official announcement of them could be found.
