Since May 2024 GOSI pays every pension, civil, military and social insurance, on the 1st of the Gregorian month. GOSI publishes no rule for a 1st that falls at the weekend, so those months wait for its announcement.

The rule, and where it comes from

  • Pensions are paid on the 1st of each Gregorian month, from 1 May 2024, for retirees and beneficiaries of the civil and military retirement systems and of social insurance (GOSI, through SPA).
  • The pensions regulation keeps the payment within the first week of the month and lets the Governor bring it forward (Article 33). It sets no rule for weekends, so none is applied here.
  • A payer can move a day for a holiday, as the Ministry of Finance did in May 2026; a calculated date is replaced when the payer announces its own.
