State salaries are paid on the 27th of each Gregorian month. 2026 is the Ministry of Finance's own table; 2027 is worked out from the rule printed under it, until the Ministry publishes the year.

The rule, and where it comes from

  • Salaries are paid on the 27th of each Gregorian month (Ministry of Finance).
  • If the 27th is a Friday, they are paid on the Thursday before; if a Saturday, on the Sunday after (Ministry of Finance, under its 2026 table).
  • The Ministry can move a day for a holiday: May 2026 was paid on Sunday the 24th, the 27th being Eid al-Adha.
  • A payer can move a day for a holiday, as the Ministry of Finance did in May 2026; a calculated date is replaced when the payer announces its own.
